SSTU actively participates in the international projects and the international research community to assure and increase its academic quality. SSTU has been actively involved in EU international cooperation programs such as TEMPUS and ERASMUS+ (14 projects fulfilled in total), in projects supported by HP, Fulbright, IREX, Eurasia, Open University, Bridge. Together with the EU partner institutions SSTU offers international double-degree Master programs in Mechatronics, Information Technologies, Digital Arts, Smart City Technologies, Internet of Things. Staff mobility for teaching and training purposes are actively encouraged and supported by SSTU in order to develop staff and to ensure the high academy quality of its curricula. Staff mobility is integrated into the development strategies for researchers, teachers and administrative staff. SSTU ensures international elements in all curricula through course design and materials used, globally recruited guest lecturers and guest professors and additional activities. The cooperation network of SSTU consists of partner institutions from United Kingdom, France, Portugal, Spain, Belgium, Germany, Finland, Romania, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Poland, Greece, Austria, India, China, Belorussia, Kazakhstan, Kirgizia, Uzbekistan, Mongolia, Italy. Due to the effective relations and international training of specialists SSTU is recognized as one of the prominent centres of international cooperation in provincial Russia.

Students life at SSTU
Various extracurricular activities are waiting for you: students club offer multiple opportunities to express yourself in creative art, activism and different hobbies, sports division provides everything for you to stay fit. Our university boasts the stadium with a football field and 5 gyms, fitness centre, the skiing lodge and skating rink are available in winter.
Foreign students, who come to study at SSTU, from the first days of staying participate in various activities, contests and competitions.
Student's entertainment is based on the activity of several clubs, which are organized for development of amateur art, preservation of national traditions, self-actualization and leisure of students by combining them in creative teams. Student Club includes such directions as theatre studio, break dance, electro dance, vocal studio, stand-up teams, puppet theatre and collective dance group. Tourist Club is created to promote tourism and outdoor activities among students. There are such sections as hiking, biking, kayaking and climbing. Historic Club deals with the reconstruction of XIX century balls. It is also includes archery direction, historical fencing and museum activity. Military club practices paintball, laser tag and strike ball. Technical Club is presented by buggy, radiocontrolled car's, aircraft model and roboticsconstructing. Volunteer Club involves the work of volunteers in the university and participation in various volunteer projects.
